Merge+™ is about creating and sustaining positive momentum. It’s about innovation, empathy, and a cutting edge ecosystem designed specifically for nonprofits. This platform is for their courage, their resiliency, and the communities they serve.
I was raised in Marks, Mississippi—a town stitched into the unfinished promise of America. In 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood in Marks, Mississippi, and cried. He saw children without shoes, classrooms without books, and families without enough food to get through the day. One teacher sliced a single apple into pieces so every student could have a bite. That moment wasn’t just heartbreaking—it was a turning point. From it, Dr. King launched the Poor People’s Campaign, and Marks became the birthplace of the Mule Train: a caravan of covered wagons pulled by mules, carrying hope and protest all the way to Washington, D.C.
My father was a part of that protest. His photographs and stories defined my earliest understanding of justice, resilience, and purpose. Though raised in Nashville, he was drawn to Marks by that same calling. After graduating college, he pursued a life of service—dedicated to transforming education in our community.
So, Marks isn’t just my history. It’s my inheritance. And it lives in every decision I make to build something better for communities like it.

Merge+ is my Mule Train. But instead of mules, it’s fueled by empathy, innovation, and guided by equity. Merge+ is a platform designed to help nonprofits do more than survive—it helps them scale. It brings tools that historically only larger institutions have accessed, and places them in the hands of purpose-driven people on the frontlines of change.
